H.E Dr. Araghchi. Iran's FM's message of condolence to his counterpart H.E Vijitha Herath

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Seyed Abbas Araghchi, has conveyed his heartfelt condolences to his Sri Lankan counterpart following the tragic loss of life and injuries caused by the recent floods and landslides in Sri Lanka.

The message reads as follows:

"Your Excellency Mr. Wijitha Herath, Honorable Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka,

I was deeply saddened to learn of the loss of life and injuries sustained by the noble people of Sri Lanka as a result of the recent floods and landslides. On behalf of myself and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, I extend my condolences and express our solidarity with Your Excellency, as well as with the Government and the people of Sri Lanka.

I wish tranquility and patience for the bereaved families, and recovery and full health for those affected.

Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my deepest sympathy and condolences."
