Dear Noble People of Iran
Fellow Compatriots
Our beloved homeland, Iran, has been unjustly subjected to aggression by a criminal and malevolent regime. Early this morning, the rogue and occupying Zionist regime violated Iran’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty, targeting several locations, including residential areas in Tehran and other cities across our country. This attack has led to the martyrdom of some of our nation’s most honorable and patriotic defenders, who served in the defense of Iran’s dignity, power, and scientific advancements, alongside other innocent civilians
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs extends its heartfelt congratulations and condolences to the Supreme Leader and the noble people of Iran for the martyrdom of these devoted servants of the nation, who sacrificed their lives in this unforgivable crime committed by the Zionist regime.
The Zionist regime’s attacks on Iran constitute a flagrant violation of Article 2(4) of the United Nations Charter and an act of aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran. In accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter, Iran reserves its legitimate and lawful right to respond to this aggression. The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will, with full resolve and in a manner of their choosing, act decisively to defend the sovereignty and integrity of Iran without hesitation
As a founding member of the United Nations, an organization established to prevent aggression, breaches of peace, and threats to international security, the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasizes the responsibility of the UN Security Council to take immediate action to address this violation of international peace and security caused by the Zionist regime’s blatant aggression. We call upon the President and members of the Security Council to act swiftly in this regard
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reminds the UN Secretary-General of his responsibilities under the UN Charter and urges him to take immediate action in response to this matter
We call upon all UN member states, particularly countries in the region, Islamic nations, members of the Non-Aligned Movement, and all governments committed to international peace and security, to promptly condemn this criminal aggression and take urgent, collective action to counter this dangerous adventurism, which undoubtedly poses an unprecedented threat to global peace and security
The dangerous and far-reaching consequences of the Zionist regime’s aggression against our beloved homeland, Iran, will be the responsibility of this regime and its supporters
The aggressive actions of the Zionist regime against Iran could not have been carried out without the coordination and authorization of the United States. Accordingly, the U.S. government, as the primary supporter of this regime, will also bear responsibility for the dangerous consequences of this reckless adventurism
