Ambassador Alireza Delkhosh Presents Credentials to President of the Maldives
Iran’s accredited Ambassador to the Maldives emphasized strengthening Tehran–Malé ties during the official ceremony with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

On June 23, 2025 (2 Tir 1404), H.E Alireza Delkhosh, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Sri Lanka and accredited to the Republic of Maldives, presented his credentials to President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu of the Republic of Maldives.
The official ceremony took place at the Presidential Office in Malé. During the meeting, President Muizzu emphasized the historical and cultural ties between the two nations and underlined the importance of enhancing bilateral relations between Tehran and Malé in various fields.
President Muizzu also strongly condemned the recent acts of aggression by the Zionist regime and the United States against the territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran, calling for respect for national sovereignty, and the maintenance of peace and stability in the region.
Mr. Delkhosh conveyed the greetings of the President and the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran and expressed Tehran’s readiness to expand cooperation with the Maldives in political, economic, cultural, and multilateral domains.
